Green Day’s “The Saviors Tour” comes to Chicago in only a few days. See them live alongside The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, and The Linda Lindas next Tuesday night.
Celebrating two iconic album anniversaries, Green Day is playing songs from both “Dookie” (1994) and “American Idiot” (2004), as well as tracks from the 2024 release, “Saviors” throughout their 2024 North American tour, booking Wrigley Field in Chicago, Target Field in Minneapolis, the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, American Family Field in Milwaukee, Comerica Park in Detroit, and more before the route wraps up mid-November at the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico City.
The “Wake Me up When September Ends” stars will be joined by alt-rock act The Smashing Pumpkins, a 1990s staple favored for songs like “Cherub Rock,” “1979,” and “Bullet with Butterfly Wings;” Rancid, best known for the punk albums “. And Out Come the Wolves” (1995) and “Indestructible” (2003); and famed all-female band The Linda Lindas, made popular by their pop, punk, and new wave style featured on hits like “Oh!” and “Growing Up.”
