With a Cricut and a stack of cardstock, anything is possible. Well, almost anything. Bringing fresh flowers back from the dead? No, but instead we can make beautiful paper flowers that never die in the first place! Check out this absolutely gorgeous (and realistic) paper flower bouquet I made. I’ll show you how to make one too, in your own colors, using your own unique blend of blooms that will last virtually forever.

First I’ll show you how to make the vase, which we’ll cut from two pieces of cardstock. It may look complex, but it’s actually really easy — and sturdier than you might guess. And did I mention how much time and money you’ll save not searching for the perfect vase in the perfect colors to match your flowers? It’s really a win/win.

You can use any paper flower designs that are proportional to the vase, and I have some beautiful options for you! The free download folder includes my designs for dahlias, Gerbera daisies, small daisies, carnations, gardenias, and some leaf options. They’re all inspired by actual beautiful flowers! You can find directions to cut, shape, and roll them into life in my paper flower design collection!

Hot glue the base of an <a href=assembled flower to the foam hemisphere attached to the paper flower bouquet vase" width="700" height="394" />

And arranging paper flowers is easy, too! We’ll add a foam hemisphere to the vase, and attach the flowers directly using a hot glue gun.

I’ll even show you how to make stems for some of your flowers using floral wire and wire cutters, so you can add height and dimension to your paper flower bouquet.

In theory, you could cut this project by hand (and I include PDFs in the file in case you want to), but I’ll show you how to do it the easier (and quicker) way with a cutting machine. I’ll be using my Cricut Maker 3, but you can cut your paper flower bouquet on any Maker or Explore model. My files for this tutorial are a bit too big for the Cricut Joy, but you can resize the vase and flowers to fit, or make a tiny bouquet with my miniature rolled paper roses.

But if you want to try without a cutting machine, creating the vase and bow by hand isn’t difficult — and it’s a lovely way to display faux flowers!

Paper flowers are really one of my favorite crafts, and I love that they’ll never need to be thrown out. Think of all the possibilities: Centerpieces and bridal bouquets for weddings, a timeless gift for a friend, or even just a way to have bright and cheery blossoms in your space — without having to shell out money every week for a fresh bunch! I simply adore paper flowers, and can’t wait to see yours burst into bloom, too!
